spotlight – bellacasa design associates

earlier this week i picked up a copy of the fall/winter 09 decor magazine. pages and pages of beautiful homes fill the magazine but one houston, tx home in particular designed by kevin spearman of bellacasa design associates caught my eye. i later discovered that the picture on the front cover that drew me to pick up the magazine is also of the same home.

here are some other photos of the home. i love the way he has taken a minimalist approach to the design yet still maintained a warmth in the home.

i think having a table at the foot of the bed is a fresh and unexpected change from the typical bench or love seat.

after reading the article in decor highlighting bellacasa i went looking for their website and found it…along with many more beautiful portfolio pictures. i think their designs are timeless. you could walk into any of these homes in 10 years and they would still look absolutely amazing. they have an ability to seamlessly blend modern elements with traditional design. here are a few photos from their portfolio.
